designed by antonio and nicholas, founders of SABI, in partnership with vert design, an industrial studio known for innovation and the honest use of materials, béton is our first collection of pet hardware.
brutalism took its name from béton brut: raw concrete, with decoration stripped away and materials shown exactly as they are. we named the collection béton for the same reason: nothing to hide.
each béton bowl is two elements: a concrete vessel, and a double-walled steel bowl that sits within it. the vessel takes its form from the stadium. round, grand, built to hold. the steel is double-walled for weight and durability, strength you feel the moment it is in your hands.
three colourways: classic concrete, charcoal, and sandstone. earthy tones, true to the raw character of brutalism. the attention is not in the colour. it is in the form. in the material.
bold geometry, heavy silhouette, an uncompromising presence. they hold the room by their form alone: made for people who choose substance over status, and endurance over convenience.
so much of what we live with is weightless and temporary: a pet bowl, made cheaply, easily replaced, holding no meaning at all. raw cast concrete changes that the moment you pick it up: a grounding weight, and a reminder that some things are built to last.
we made béton for those ready to trade the disposable for the indestructible. to bring substance back to the surface, and feel the weight of it every day.

in partnership with vert design, an industrial design studio, we designed, trialled, and reworked in the real world over three years, until nothing was left to compromise. the appearance was reimagined — but never at the cost of how it is used. this is a pet bowl, and it has to be lived with effortlessly.
every material was selected and tested for how it holds up in daily use. the concrete, cast for a consistent, high-quality finish that took months to resolve. the steel, double-walled for weight and durability. the leather, saffiano, scratch-resistant and honest. each proven before it earned a place.
the concrete vessel and the steel bowl are complex to form, and demand skilled hands. the vessel is cast in small batches, so every piece is given real attention, with the final surface and finish completed by hand. the steel bowl is engineered and laser-welded, for a flawless, seamless finish.
